SCHEDULE

We arrive on the mountain at 4 pm on Monday. Check into rooms and meet as group the first evening. We start the next day with a good hot breakfast, served buffet style in the Wildacres dining room (though there is early bird coffee in the canteen starting at 6:00 if you're that kind of writer.)

Then we assemble in the stunningly beautiful and acoustically friendly Wildacres auditorium where we meet in the library. Our fearless leader, Georgann Eubanks, offers a morning writing prompt. Then each person departs to one of the many writing spots on the grounds, to work up the beginnings of a song. Sometimes folks work in pairs; sometimes they opt to save the prompt and work on something they've already started.  This is adult education where you get to do what you most need and want to do for yourself.

We gather again at 11:30 to hear what folks have been writing that morning--no pressure, just if you have something you'd like to share and get some positive and useful feedback. Lunch is at 12:30.

In the afternoons, Richard and Alison are available for arrangements and additional instrumentation. Social hour begins at 5:00 in the afternoons, and evening jam sessions and presentations by the writers fill our the day.

By Wednesday, the group decides on a set list for the Thursday night concert, but we record the dress rehearsal on Wednesday afternoon. That recording becomes the digital compilation that every performer receives via e-mail in the new year. And speaking of recordings, please bring what you have to sell for the Thursday concert.  The audience is very enthusiastic.
